We began our journey in 1992 from Pokhara – the city where hills and mountains have made natural gorges and crevices – which is what “Kandara” means. We are inspired by our roots, and have taken folk-pop as our genre.

We try incorporating distinctive melodies that are simple and yet soulful, which have helped us stamp our name in Nepali music scene with songs like “HongKong Pokhara”, “Leka Ki Hey Maya”, “Tagaro Ma Rumal”, “Timi Pari Tyo Gau”, “Chanchale Kanchhi”, and others that have special place in our listeners’ hearts.
